General

Do I need an account to use your products?

No! Rippsy is completely free with no account needed. Paid products (YoinkIt, StackToPDF, BranchOut) only require a license key - no account registration necessary.

Can I use products on multiple computers?

Yes. Each license can be activated on up to 3 devices simultaneously. You can deactivate old devices from your account portal to free up slots.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid products. Email support@ltclabs.dev with your license key and reason for refund.

Licensing

I lost my license key. How do I recover it?

Check your purchase confirmation email. If you can't find it, email support@ltclabs.dev with your purchase email address and we'll resend it.

Can I transfer my license to someone else?

Yes. Email support@ltclabs.dev with both parties' email addresses and we'll handle the transfer.

Does the license expire?

No. All our licenses are lifetime - pay once, use forever. You also get all future updates at no extra cost.

Can I use products for commercial work?

Yes. All licenses include commercial use rights. One license per person - no additional fees for business use.

Technical

Do your products work offline?

Yes. After initial activation (requires internet), all products work fully offline. Rippsy never requires internet at all.

Do you collect any data or telemetry?

Minimal. We collect anonymous usage stats (OS version, app version, feature usage) to improve products. No personal data or file contents are ever collected. Rippsy collects zero data.

Are products open source?

Rippsy is fully open source (MIT license) on GitHub. Paid products are closed source but we provide API documentation for integrations.

What happens if LTC Labs shuts down?

All our activation servers have a "dead man's switch" - if they're offline for 90 days, products automatically switch to offline mode and work forever without checking licenses.

Product-Specific

Does Rippsy work with Blu-ray discs?

Not yet. Rippsy currently supports DVDs only. Blu-ray support is planned for a future release.

Can YoinkIt clone drives larger than 1TB?

Yes, but it will take time. A 1TB USB 3.0 drive takes ~90 minutes to clone. Make sure you have enough free disk space for the image file.

Does StackToPDF work with other Stack Exchange sites?

Yes! Works with ServerFault, SuperUser, AskUbuntu, and all Stack Exchange network sites.

Can BranchOut handle more than 2 USB audio devices?

Yes. BranchOut supports unlimited USB audio outputs, though Windows has practical limits (~8 devices depending on your hardware).
